2009 Civic Engagement Training Institutes

The Alliance for Children and Families is proud to announce the dates and locations of two Civic Engagement Training Institutes for 2009. The Institutes provide unique learning and networking opportunities for staff from Alliance and UNCA member organizations to learn how to incorporate civic engagement strategies into their organizational plans, transform the authentic voices of community residents into influence, and impact the broader social and economic issues facing their communities. 

The second Institute will take place September 22-24 in Lake Charles, Louisiana, co-hosted by Family and Youth Counseling Agency. The Institute will begin Tuesday, September 22 at 5p.m. and end Thursday, September 24 at 1p.m.

There is no registration fee for Alliance and UNCA members and members are eligible for $500 travel stipends to offset travel costs!!

There is a $50 registration fee for non-members to register for the September Institute.
